It includes an amazing late 1800s hotel, great big porches with adirondack chairs, wilderness trails, and the open-air Cathedral Shrine, in the tiny town of Orkney Springs. Alex Large will guide us, as we discuss our faith, and enjoy each other's fellowship in this peaceful setting. We already have 11 people signed up to go, but there's still plenty of room for more.

Dinner & a Movie Night with Madea

Join us for a great night out at the movies to watch the
new Tyler Perry movie:
"Madea Goes to Jail"
on Saturday, February 21st
7:45 pm
Regal Gallery Place Stadium 14
701 Seventh Street NW DC 20001

Join us for dinner beforehand
6:00 pm at Chop't
730 7th St NW DC 20001

Our Rector, Paul Zahl, has a penchant for Tyler Perry's plays and movies due to their potrayal of the gospel and ways of discussing issues of Grace versus the Law in our modern culture and times. As a result, we will join together for this fun outing to see the movie, based on a play written and directed by Tyler Perry. According to Wikipedia, the main character is Mable "Madea" Simmons, whose penchant for trouble-making results in jailtime. She helps one of her fellow inmates who is preyed upon by a large woman named Big Sal. It's sure to be a great time for all of us.

We will be going to see it the day after it opens, opening weekend!

PLEASE RSVP TO HAWLEY OR ALEX
IN ADVANCE SO WE CAN
PRE-PURCHASE TICKETS FOR YOU!

The show is expected to sell out and we want you to be able to join us ;)
